Perseus and Medusa: Development

Here's Perseus walking through Medusa's layer and spotting her through his shield. I wanted this to be the only illustration on this sign. Mainly because I don't think I needed anything else to show whats happening. Also, I think this looks really effective just as a stand alone image.
For the next sign I needed to show Perseus ready to attack Medusa- but with his eyes closed. I think this illustration shows this well. I like how you can see the movement in the illustration- without any animation.
I needed to show Medusa beheaded, however, I didn't want this to look too gruesome so instead of blood I included red 'swirls' dangling from her neck. I think this has taken a comedic approach to the story so it won't be too graphic for children who want to follow the trail.
Finally, I needed to illustrate Perseus turning the evil King to stone. I think this was the best way to represent it in a spot illustration, however, Perseus does look short in comparison to the King so I will need to edit that going forward. Also Perseus' shoes are now gold so that would be a continuity error. I will also change this going forward.
