High up in the tallest tree in the middle of the jungle, lived an Orangutan and his mother. They were happy as can be. Every day they spent together, having lots of fun! Swinging through vines and climbing on branches: it was how they loved to spend their time
That was until...

the rumbling had begun. For weeks and weeks the rumbling would not give in. It would shake all the branches and would make Orangutan's home tremble. Then one day his mother exclaimed "We have to move far away from this place!"
Page 9 and 10
Orangutan was upset, he didn't want to be, but the rumbling got louder. They had to leave quick. Leaping through the vines, his mother was swinging faster than ever before. But Orangutan was tired. His arms were aching and his finger were swore. He tried but couldn't keep up and so he forgot...
Page 11 and 12
He couldn't remember which way his mother turned next. Was it past the river or up the hill? Orangutan was worried, he didn't know where to go. And so, he cried "Where are you mother? I don't want to be alone!" He decided he had to go back to the only place he knew...
Page 13 and 14
Orangutan returned to his home, but he was confused. The hanging vines he use to play on with his mother, were gone. The branches disappeared and all that was left were stumps on the ground. "Help me! I am lost and I don't know where to go" Orangutan yelled. All the other animals had fled. He was alone.
but then suddenly...

He heard a huge "OUUUUUCHHHHH!!" Orangutan looked over to see a rhino who seemed like he needed some help. "Are you okay?" Orangutan asked. "No, I'm not. My favourite horn is gone" Rhino sad with despair. "Don't worry Rhino, I can help!"
Page 17 and 18
Orangutan gathered some branches and some twine. He built a new horn for rhino to wear.
"Thank you little one. You have made my day! Now I must return the favour!" Rhino insisted
"Why thank you Rhino! Could you help me find my mother, I don't know where to begin." Orangutan said
"Lets go this way! Follow me!" Rhino announced

And so they went on their journey through what was left of the jungle. Until they heard a squawk from a hornbill up above. "Hey down there! I couldn't help but overhear, I know where your mother went"
"Please tell me! I'd do anything to find my mother again!" Orangutan shouted to the bird.

And so the Orangutan took some leaves and tree sap to create a well thought out trap. Hornbill was incredible grateful and went on to help Orangutan on his adventure.
"She went past this river over the bridge!" Hornbill squeaked. But no bridge was left. All that remained were broken twigs and leaves "I will never find my mother again" Orangutan sighed
Page 23 and 24
But then Rhino had an idea "I can help! Hop on my back and guide me through the water. It will be very slippery so hold on tight to my brand-new horn!"
Orangutan was so close to his new home. He was so excited he couldn't believe his luck. To find new friends and to be safe again was everything he wanted and more
Page 25 and 26
Past the river, he was safe again. Orangutan saw his mother in a towering tree. He was delighted and so was she. "Mother I have found you!" As long as I'm with you, I don't mind what we call home" His mother opened her arms wide and gave Orangutan a very big hug. They were finally together again
Page 27 and 28
There was no more rumbling. The branches weren't shaking. Orangutan's new home wasn't trembling, everything was better again. Now little orangutan spends all day swinging, happier than ever before. That was because being with his friends and family was the best place to be.
