Found object illustration

Initial response to project  

At first I started of drawing the animals which I saw in the shape of the object. Although it was fun to interpret each object as a different animal, it wasn't following the brief we were given. So when I placed the scissors on top of the crocodile it didn't create the effect I intended it to. 

This was the similar issue I had with the rabbit illustration. Although I thought the marks on the scissors created the effect of eyes being shut. It still felt disjointed. So I then took a can pull ring and created a Vespa with it. This is definitely the outcome I wanted as if you just take a quick glance you don't notice the pull ring at first,

I then decided to create a ballerina out of pencil sharpening. This was also the outcome I intended on when I initially approached the project. 

My final outcome is the most effective as I wanted to redeem myself from the previous scissors drawings. So, I created a business man looking out on to the New York skyline out of binoculars. Although this sketch is quite rough, it still is effective when you hold the scissors on top of the illustration.
