Negotiated Programme ideas

 1. Children's Book revolving around diversity and self love. My idea is for the main character to be an Orangutan who goes on a journey and visits different animals and asks why can't be like them. For example, why can't he fly with the birds or why he hasn't got a trunk. At the end he learns that he is special too. This could be by another character wishing they were like him.

2. For the same brief, I was also creating another story. It could be about deforestation and the effect it has on the Orangutan and his friends.

3. As my part time job I work at Trentham Estate and over the time of my working there I have found out that there's an interesting history regarding Trentham. They already have a History hunt which you can purchase at the entrance. However I don't think it's as interactive as it could be. I want the information to be more engaging for the children and along their walk around the gardens there could be historical figures such as Capability Brown, Duke of Sutherland. This is similar to different trails they have done previously eg. Peter Rabbit, Room On the Broom, but more educational and interactive. I believe theres a gap in the marketing where it can teach both children and the adults about the gardens.

4. I could also create greeting cards, prints etc, this could also link to the Creative Practice.
